Nobody even expected Pittsburgh to be in the playoffs at the beginning of the season. Now they lose a playoff game to a team they're expected to lose to and it's doom and gloom now??? Sports analysis is horrible this day and age.

He spoke the truth and broke it down so even a fifth grader would understand it.

It’s more on the front office in my opinion. They seem to have a philosophy where they play everything safe, it’s like they always want to build a B- team. Drafting Kenny Picket was the epitome of Steelers management, get the best qb in a down year when you dont have to move up

Only thing is. Giants went through it. They’ll be headed back up. Steelers are about to go into that darkness 👀

Almost but No. Giants don't have stability front office.

Eli didn’t get them to their super bowls. It was their defense

That’s a massive reach 🙄
If you told Giants fans TODAY that they could win 9-11 games a year but get bounced in the Wild Card round each time, they would sign up for that so fast that their hands would cramp.

As a Steelers fan I 100% agree. Now I don’t think we will end up as bad as the giants because I do believe our front office is better. Shouldve drafted Lamar in 2018, shouldve drafted hurts in 2020, probably shouldve looked to trade up for fields and maybe even take Haskins in 2019. Every time we address a need it’s far too late and up until Omar khan, plus from 2018-2022 we were terrible at evaluating talent.

The problem is the Steelers are too good every year to pick a qb at the spot they’re drafting at and as long as they have a great coach they won’t get worse. The Steelers just need to build their o line a little or add another weapon and then the veteran QB’s who get moved on from will want to go there. Brady didn’t go to Tampa just because Florida has no state income tax it was because of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and Tristan wirfs and Bruce Arians and the defense. They were a perfect situation to go to which is why baker went there and immediately had a decent amount of success. The Steelers either need to get super lucky in the draft by getting someone later like Lamar or Jalen hurts or they need to get a guy like Rodgers to develop a young qb that they draft. Hate to say it but as a packers fan I can say that all a lot of these teams have to do is draft a guy and let him develop for a couple years and things will be fine

It's called Quarterback lol. Cowherd is so ridiculous as if these QBs just fall off trees. They always are too good for a top pick and not good enough for a SB run it's a bad position everyone knows it but somehow they keep around 10 wins when most of those team's are bottom feeders. They also play in a conference with The best QB talent and it isn't even close, Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, Burrow Stroud and now Nix looks to have promise. They have to get one in the 2026 draft cause 2025 is another Pickett draft

But colin won't mention the head coach

So, create the narrative all you want. When you have a winning culture and not a tanking culture cause those franchises exist, not the steelers. Back to my point, losing helps a franchise in need of quarterback and winning does not. The draft position you pick at a higher number and getting a qb is so much harder. The steelers are harmed by winning. So let's just say Collin Pittsburgh loses one year get a rookie in the top 10 now allow for 3 seasons to grow. MiKe Tomlin goes to playoffs. By year 5, with the new quarterback, they don't win a Super Bowl cut him.

Steelers also didn’t have the luxury of playing Kirk Cousins in a playoff game. In the timeframe that they’ve had these terrible offenses they’ve played Mahomes, Allen, and Jackson in playoff games. 3 of the 4 best QB’s in the league and they were pretty much double digit dogs in all those games. Never understand why they get crucified for losing in these situations that everyone expects them to lose in.
