The Thompson Twins were a 80s British New Wave band. They had multiple hits with their biggest being " Hold Me Now" which hit #3 in the US and stayed on the charts for 5 Months.

"Lay Your Hands On Me", "Doctor Doctor" and "King For A Day" are three more great songs by The Thompson Twins when they were in their heyday in the mid 80's. "Lies" was their first sing that came out in 1983. The video is different.

Asia & BJ, you'll love their "Doctor Doctor", "In the Name of Love", "Love on Your Side" and You Take Me Up" !!!!
I saw them live in 1983, they were the first band I saw who used wireless microphones. "Lies" is a great song from 1982!

Thompson Twins were always funky! Great bass guitars and synthesizers. Great ears! lol. This was early '80s.They were new wave, post-punk and funk. They were around during the '80s and early '90s. Yall have reacted to "Hold Me Now" too. About a year ago. They have many more hits, videos yall should check out. Others have posted them in the comments. Songs like "Doctor! Doctor!", ""Love On Your Side", "Lay Your Hands on Me", "King for a Day", "Come Inside". We know what funk yall talking about lol. '70s and '80s. Yall right about Rick James, Prince, etc.
They were similar to Duran Duran, Talking Heads, Oingo Boingo, etc.
Thompson Twins were a cool band. The all all had punk rock colored spiky hair styles. Main singer/bass guitarist, was red head, punky hair and his GF? She had blonde shaved sides and spiky hair, played drums, syntheziers, percussions, . The drummer was a tall black guy with dreads and and synthezisers. Watch their videos!. They were all singers and played multiple instruments.

Please check out the Music Video to get the sense of what all was going on in the Dance Clubs especially Dallas for Y'all during this time. The band's name was based on the two bumbling detectives Thomson and Thompson (who are close doubles not twins) in the English language version of Hergé's comic strip The Adventures of Tintin. NB no p in the first Thomson, not a typo.

I looked at your uploads, and you did actually react to Thompson Twins "Hold Me Now" 10 months ago. You just probably didn't remember because this one is a completely different vibe. I love this one so much more. THIS is the Thompson Twins I loved. Great reaction, you two! Thank you! ✌💙✌

There is another song with the same title ("Lies") from 1965 done by a group called The Knickerbockers. Two completely different songs and The Knickerbockers were a one hit wonder with their tune. When it was released in the midst of Beatlemania, everyone thought it was The Beatle's latest hit. It was years 'til I found out it wasn't them. Try it and see what you think
