I love, love, love this series of 3 videos!! It was such a simple, fascinating breakdown of how we produce speech and incredibly helpful for tackling IPA symbols found in the Khmer language that I needed to know for my Peace Corps service!

can you give more thorough explanation about the diphthongs like you did with the monophthongs video earlier?

Love your work here - but please note the closed captions ruin it by rendering words like symbol as simple and packman as batman. This is a serious weakness - in an otherwise perfet set of vieos. Thanks for your work.

wonderful summary of IPA and it blew my mind. However can you link to the videos and websites you mention in the video above. It will make navigation easier. Also the link to the website is too low in the screen and falls bellow the tracking bar meaning if I try to click on it I just navigate back in the video.

Why did you not highlight dark l? Is it because your dialect doesn't use it?

Nice video Dr.Evan. Just one question, why can't we just go back to the phonemic spelling of Old English, where written symbols are represented by one and the same sound ?
Is there an answer for this ?

Clarity always costs some or all accuracy

Unless you are mistaken as far the phonetic spelling of the examples you gave, I would say that this alphabet needs some serious revision, seeing as how none of the examples you gave make any sense whatsoever.
