Insane Sounding JUDD V8 SLK340 🔥🔥🔥 #hillclimbmonster

Reto Meisel brought his mighty 630Hp/11.300Rpm SLK340 Judd V8 for the second consecutive year to Rampa da Falperra in Portugal, but this time with very different results. After not finishing last year with Starter Motor problems, this time he ended up winning not only his Class, but also beating the outright Touring Car All Time Record, posting a 2:04.715 on his last run.

This Record has even more meaning because the older record holder was Georg Plasa, HillClimb Racing Legend and Reto´s long time friend, who hold the record since 2011 when he participated on Rampa da Falperra with his incredible BMW 134 Judd V8, only a couple months before his tragic demise.

Symbolically, this marks the "passing of the torch" between two Legends of HillClimb Racing but also how we can watch the Judd V8 powered Monsters still evolving in this Sport. True Icons and spectacular beyond belief, nowadays we still have this 780Kg spaceframed beast in high-revving Naturally Aspirated form still being raced in anger and leaving its mark in an Historic way.

There's only three motors that can make me goosebumps, the 5 cylinder inline Audi quattro of S1, the Porsche flat 6 and the judd V8.
It's a real dream see and listen this car in real footage.

Reminds me of Alonso watching Verstappen Q3 lap when he had to beat Hamilton's pole lap in Jeddah 2021. Alonso eyes lit up when he says "I think hes pushing"

Verstappen was really pushing the limit of the car in that lap until he binned the final corner.
