I feel like the Hunger Games series is one of those series that got many people into reading!

The hunger games are still my favorite and catching fire was the best. Also the Divergent series I love too.

I still really enjoy John Green’s writing too. The Anthropocene Reviewed is one of my favorites and it helped me through a really hard time.

You should include those books (which you haven't rated, but if you were to it'd be 5 stars) in this same series. Because even if you haven't essentially rated them, it's all about the feels yk

For me Percy Jackson’s still 5/5 because I first read it when I was 25. I was not the target audience yet the story captured me. It was very fun to read and enjoy a middle grade after such a long time :)

I absolutely adore John Green and feel like he gets a lot of undeserved hate. People think he's pretentious and that his characters are unrealistic in terms of how intelligent they are, but I feel like those people don't really get his writing. When people say they think his characters are overly intelligent, it just makes them seem dumb (obv NOT referring to you, Hailey). Also, it's like the Taylor Swift quote: How can a person know everything at 18 and nothing at 22? Young people talk about things like they know everything, because they think they do. I love how you are not ashamed to say that you still love his writing Hailey<3

A video of books that would be a 5/5 if you would still give ratings would highly interest me!!
I never gave ratings and I'm trying really hard this year to give them xD (and I change them a few times lol)

When I first read the Books of Beyern I borrowed them from the library and read them out of order mistakenly, but I loved them so much that I reread them in the correct order. I even used my allowance to buy my first book from Barnes and Noble which was The Goose Girl. When I first read them, Enna burning was definitely my favorite too, but as my tastes have changed over the years I think Goose Girl feels more like home to me now. Still a 5/5 series for me all around and I always love going back to the world Shannon Hale created

I remember loving the Uglies series so much in 7th grade as well! I'm thinking a reread may need to happen soon.

I would be very interested what your five star reads would be now from some of your recent reads. We have similar reading tastes (historical fiction) so I love getting your advice on that since not many booktubers read a lot of historical fiction.

I personally think that The Ocean at the End of the Lane is a book that needs to be read at a very specific point in your life. It is my #1 book of all time and there is a lot to unpack in that fantasy book. I think if you read it again in your thirties, it will mean more to you then. If you do that, I hope that you are still posting videos so I can see whether or not I was right!

We read a lot of the same books in grade school! Love your videos. Looking forward to seeing your next 5 star videos

So, I teach middle school (7th grade) ELA and read a lot of middle and YA books, and more times than not like them better than adult books. I feel the same way you do about The Great Gatsby and other classics. I don't care for any of John Green's books. They're like Lifetime Channel movies in a book.
