2021 Honda #CRF300L First Impressions Review + CRF250L comparison

2021 Honda CRF300L : First impressions review and a back to back comparison with my Honda CRF250L.

Is the CRF300L much of an upgrade compared to the CRF250L? Well, I've owned and loved the CRF250L for a year and 2500 miles and I have to say the CRF300L feels almost like a different machine.

I’ve now done 350 miles on the CRF300, a lot of that on green lanes and it’s a big improvement over the 250. It's brilliant!

I got in an accident earlier last month, and I got to ride a CRF250 Rally as a substitute vehicle whilst my main ride sat in the repair shop. The bike was really light and easy to handle, and fuel economy was just incredible. It made me consider switching to a smaller displacement vehicle from the bike I currently own (2009 R1) since I had a lot of fun riding the CRF and found it to be far better suited to real world riding.

Just picked up my CRF300L last weekend. Dealer said it would be likely until the end of summer "but you never know. I can tell you whoever commits with a deposit gets it." I placed my deposit immediately. A truckful of ATV's arrived three days later, amidst of which was a brand new shiny 300L. It surprised them as much as me. I'm now hoping between it and my Vulcan S 650 Cafe.

Excellent work again Phil. I really like the mixture between the bike specifications and the countryside background with the magnificent atmosphere and light.
I still remember the test at the 250 and you getting out of that nice gantry with the mirrors. A piece of art because it's significance of freedom and elegance.

Really enjoyed this very well presented comparison. I rode the 250 briefly, yawn, borrowed a 300 for 20 minutes and placed deposits at 2 dealers in February 2022. Looks like MAYBE getting my bike in August. I am obsessed with this little bike. Thank you for this nicely produced and thoughtfully scripted video!
