Im confused of this debate but

Durability and weapon definitely goes to steppenwolf

Dude take like 300° heat vision of Superman and still survive and survive strongest punch where Thanos is going to sleep for but steppenwolf is still alive until the sword cuts him off

Steppenwolf Axe is literally stronger than storm breaker and that Axe produce teleport and mosquito puppets of darkseid and that Axe is made of more than moonrock when Thanos sword easily breaks by Wanda magic

people think thanos without gauntlet is house level....thanos has more durability than wolf...he survived 2 snaps...2nd snap nearly killed him when he reduced the stones into atoms...he single handedly overpowered thor and captain with mjolnir and stormbreaker, ...even with his wounded hand he was able to counter cap marvels's photon blast, broke vision's multi layered vibranium tissue, easily broke tesseract, blindfoldedly countered dr strange's attack, thanos skin was more durable than wolf...stormbreaker barely wounded his chest(as it is one of the superior weapons of asgard made from the heart of nidavellir a god level weapon)...but aquaman's trident also a god level weapon...pierced steppenwolf..he struggled with amazons' horses... even with these feats...people still beleive steppenwolf defeats thanos without stones...
