The Topping E30 II Is For IDIOTS ONLY

The Topping E30 II is a garbage DAC that no one should be concerned with purchasing in 2022. If you are new to the headphones hobby, I understand your interest as I was there at on point myself. But hopefully this video will teach you what really matters. @AudioScienceReview does not tell the full story.

Lots of cherry picking going on...which is the only way you could make a video like this. The motu 2 does not compare to the E30II in some important categories...and it's 50 bucks more expensive. This is a budget category...and the Topping hits all the sweet spots... Obviously Amir's report on Motu should back up the claims that it is the better dac...but no...that is not the case. The E30II has better dynamic range....better sinad numbers...things that folks will notice. The Motu started clipping at 2.5v. Why not at least just endorse the Motu 4 for 50 more bucks...it beats the M2. It won't match the Topping E30II though...not where it counts. Lots of cherry picking...I doubt Amir is losing any sleep over this...who would.

Sorry, i disagree with a lot of things here. The E30 is one of the greatest dacs in the price range and is made for a complety different buyer than the Motu M2. Yes the Motu has a decent Dac. But as a Dac alone the E30 is still better. (Im a Motu Owner myself for Recording and i like it a lot). And a bit better can be a lot of money in Audio. The Chip in the Motu doesnt measure nearly as good. Power Supply also matters, and powering with usb Power is not the best for noise (there are all kinds of issues with usb power from a pc). And devices at that price are not at all galvanically isolated decently. You dont hear it, or think it doesnt matter? Then thats your opinion. Then buy a sub 100 Dollar Dac and be happy. Science Reviews is focused on measurements only and nothing else, and thats what its for, so there is nothing wrong with the review style, there a plenty of others that focus on different aspects in a review. And the Topping Products while not good in terms of design and consumer friendlyness are excellently engineered. There not a lot of companies that can compete at that price point. Even putting a remote in there is extra value, even if its not implemented well, which is the case with a lot of chinese brands.

Very dishonest statement. D30 ii sounds very good and the sound is significantly improved compared to d30.I have both and the difference is more than obvious.

The creation of version II depends solely on the unavailability of the AK4493 chip. As they changed chips they also made some improvements.
If you already have the first version you are already good, no need to buy the newest. Maybe before spitting out judgments, be informed.
Also you are making a total mess comparing completely different categories of devices and price tags. Makes zero sense.

My god you don't understand electronics do you? Those are IR remote controls and not something working off your Lan. You also need the remote control when you use it say in your home theater system or your stereo system. USB power is full of crap ton of noise & jitter.

I have the Motu and I use it for recording my music. I have the Topping E30 II and I enjoy it for listening music (together with other 6 Topping devices I own). They are both excellent devices and I'm enjoying both a lot. Your comparison is useless. I'm happy to be part of those "idiots" as you call them. Next time you can compare a cow with a yogurth, it's the same.

So you're comparing a minimalistic dac input device (not a headphone dac/amp you would use on your desk) with an Audio Interface (Handy to have, but whole other usecase) and a Headphone wut? The Topping E30 is for extending functionality of your amp. The Audio interface is for streamers/artists. The dongle is for headphone listeners that want the most easy and mobile hifi connection. And you know that haha so maybe im missing out on the joke.

Thanks man, after watching this video I IMMEDIATELY ordered the l30ii/e30ii combo with free cable, no sales tax and free shipping. The remote is just what I needed so i dont have to get up and walk across the room to adjust the volume. Really didn't want to crawl under the house to run wiring and buy long cables either. If it wasn't for your whiny ass hate video I would have mistakenly bought the magni/modi for almost the same price when you add shipping, sales tax and the cable. Good job man! Subscribed!

you are comparing 2 different TYPES of products dude. the MOTU is a DAW interface, the Topping is just a DAC. thats like comparing a car to an airplane and dogging on the car cuz it can't fly. stupid. you could have done much better here. reviews are to be somewhat objective but you obviously didn't like the Topping for your use so you completely napalmed it. i don't own one, but i thought your subjective criticism was overdone. just my opinion, like yours.

Your moondrop variations is a crap headphone, it doesn't even have any air purifier. Dyson headphone is the best headphone in the world, every other headphone is shit. No other headphone has air purifier, so that makes every other headphone useless for me.
