(3.25 POB) Strong and Cheap Starter Build - Hierophant Freezing Pulse + Ice Spear, 22M DPS, PoE

Solid starter build that can easily do all normal content on rly low budget (I started in 3.22, 3.23 with it) - Hierophant Freezing Pulse + Ice Spear/Eye of Winter, low budget (was 2 div at 4-5th day of the league, prices in POB notes), good clear speed and high single target dmg (22M DPS normal, 24.5M against frozen enemies).
This build is not tanky, so you need to use right "totem playstyle", set totems in from of you and they will clear or freeze everything. It still can survive some hits: 5.5k hybrid health/mana pool, 4 permanent endurance charges, but main defensive layer is freeze. In difficult boss encounters or hard expeditions it's better to run at some distance and set totems near enemies. Also on bosses we can use Vaal Arctic Armour for 90% less dmg taken for 3 hits, that's good panic button. Can easily survive shaper slam with it.

Once again, it's not tanky, need right "totem playstyle", set totems in front of you, never run into packs and it will carry you through all normal content easily. DPS/investment ratio is rly good, probably one of the best in game.

Thanks for the video guide! Btw everyone, as K2 has said its not tanky, sadly he/she forgot to disable vaal artic armour so if u open pob and think "oh, almost 50k eHp thats not bad, i got sad news for u, after disabling that, flasks(cuz there is no 100%uptime flasks against bosses on this build) and steelskin(cuz u cant have 100%uptime) u reach 12k eHp, with a max phys hit of 6k. Anything in the game can kill u at this point, even a white pack if the map end up having crit mods or any dmg mods. its a nice build for ppl that like and know how to play it in the right way, but those new might strugle hard, just keep that in mind.
Edit: This is just from the pob provided(which is really league start gear so its kinda shit gear lol), if u invest more in the build u can get higher eHp numbers, not a build problem, its just really squishy with this level of gear

I love how doesn't matter which league is, ice spear totem build is kinda the same all across the leagues and manage to deal tons of damage XD thanks again for a banger build will be my 3.25 LS

League started a similar build (with soul mantle) the past 3 Leagues, went into Blight and Ravaged Blights for which this build is excellent.

Annihilating Light is such a stupid amount of damage making this so fucking easy. But with 6-portal defense plan and not much else, really juicing up in wisp league wasn't something I could manage.
But for rushing Atlas its effortless.

Played this in 3.22 as well, but stacking Curses on myself. Worked out just as well, perfect for bossing, decent for mapping. I would have started this for 3.24 again, but I am too intrigued to try the POEGuy Siege Ballista Hierophant instead ;)

I got this build set up last night. Spammed Fire Wall, Rolling Magma, Holy Totem until I could run Arma brand and Firestorm. Took me to maps and then finally swapped to totems. DPS was awful until I got Annihilating Light.

The guide is very barebones compared to what I have out there and the transition from level 51 in your guide just goes "here's end game". I would recommend at least adding something for early mapping. You should also let people know the reduction of resistances from Annihilating light is ridiculous.
