I have been altering regular pants since the flare pants (remember the 60's!!!) and I always work equally on both the inside and the outside seams. It balances the pants and doesn't affect the fit. Of course, on jeans that are stretching, I only work on the inside seams.

I love this, the thing with light wash jeans is that their out seam has this bleached design to it so when you know jeans you can always tell it's been tapered but with this skill it's very neat and nobody can tell 👌🏽👌🏽
