the problem with tapered headtube is when u want to change the fork to something else ! for exemple, i have a bike with this kind of frame, wanted to change my carbon fork for a chromoly freestyle one as i do a lot of wheelies and hops..and i just can't change the fork !

how important is the tapered part if im new to this and want to buy my first bike? the only one that has tapered headtube from my choices is specialised rockhopper all the others are normal
