I remember when Steven used to hate being called Trevor and now he's finally actually being proud of what he's helped create

I agree, Steven Ogg is a versatile actor who deserves more recognition for his talent.

He doesn’t like it but he embraces it for the fans

I feel really bad for Steven. He is always depicted as being very violent, aggressive, mean, etc. but in reality he is actually a really nice dude and then when he speaks out about him hating all the negative interpretations about him everyone begins hating him

Steven: I don't want people to associate or call me Trevor. He's a cartoon character.
Also Steven:

I understand not wanting one character to be the face of his career, but sometimes you have to appreciate how BIG of a character he had and his impression on fans. It would be an honor to have a character so liked as Trevor on my resume.

Steven Ogg is so talented in acting that nobody recognizes his true character and quite honestly, it’s sad how nobody recognizes him as who he really is.

Even when Steven is calm he still looks terrifying and unpredictable.

What he literally doesn’t understand is just how iconic he made Trevor. He said in an interview he doesn’t really get video games or why people still care after all these years.

He wants to be seen as more than Trevor, which, tbh, he is, but he did such an amazing job with that role that it became cemented in pop culture. He will forever be one of THE greatest characters ever performed/portrayed in media.

I think he’d embrace it more if he truly understood just how important that role was, not just for his career, but for gaming and media entertainment as a whole. He has such a strong personality that he comes across as intimidating when not trying to.

I have similar experiences in life. People think I’m so intense and intimidating then they get to know and think I’m the sweetest and most chill dude they’ve ever met. Most aren’t used to people being genuinely honest about who they are and get intimidated when you dont play the same social dance everyone else does.

But yeah, if he could actually wrap his head around why Trevor is important, even over a decade later, I think he’d be less irritated over it. Or maybe him being mad about it is him embodying Trevor without “being Trevor”, just channeling the same energy. Because in a way, he is Trevor and Trevor is him. Like he talks the way Trevor does. Or rather Trevor talks how he does, just says crazier things for the script lol the same inflections, talking style lol But regardless, I still respect him as an actor/performer. He hasn’t really done anything bad aside from want to be seen as more than one role, which is understandable. But he doesn’t understand that his role as Trevor put him on the map and on our radar. Like this random guy out of nowhere portrays one of the best game characters ever and blows the world away. It was like the voice actor for Vaas in FC3. Funnily enough, both ended up in Better Call Saul, a show inna series with some of the best performers out there. Because they played bad guys in video games so well, they gained a cult following. And tbh, them two together would be a dynamic pair lol

I understand not wanting to be solely remembered for Trevor but I need a movie where Steven Ogg can just go crazy with this character like he did with Trevor
