KutaSoftware: Algebra 2- Operations With Complex Numbers

Complex numbers seem well... complex. But operations are performed similar to those with variables, but just with a few more steps. First, we need to remember that i^2 = -1, and once we replace it, there is usually more combining and simplifying that we can do!

Just remember, that if we were dealing with variables combining to something like x^3 if fine, but for i^3 we would want to replace that with i * (i^2) = i * (-1) = -i. Thus, more simplified!
