The Espruino firmware for ESP8266 is rapidly evolving. The Pin class is now deprecated and you can use D4 or for the Development Board, NodeMCU.D2 for referring to GPIO4:

Good stuff. I have one problem though, the screen command seems not to work for me. As in i don't get the command prompt and therefore cannot enter text. Am using ubuntu 14.04. Any idea what's wrong?
