Jeff Beck Even Odds HQ

Показать описание
Track 9 from his seventh solo album “Who Else!” released in 1999 copyright Epic Records. It was recorded at Townhouse Studios in London and was his first release of original material in a decade. Session guitarist Jennifer Batten, who had been a member of Michael Jackson’s touring band during his three world tours from 1987 to 1997, was greatly influenced by Jeff while growing up. She was invited to perform on this album and brought a techno influence to some songs. She was the primary writer of “What Mama Said” which was nominated for the Grammy Award for "Best Rock Instrumental Performance" the following year. It lost to Santana’s “The Calling” featuring Eric Clapton. She also toured with Beck for three years after this album was released. Beck’s friend and frequent collaborator Tony Hymas wrote or co-wrote most of the songs on the album. His friend and former bandmate Jan Hammer wrote and played keyboards and drums on his contribution “Even Odds.” The album received above average reviews and reached No. 99 on the Billboard chart. Written by Jan Hammer and produced by Tony Hymas & Jeff Beck. RIP Jeff Beck. Featuring:
