I had 10 bitcoin with mt gox at the time of the hack, I was young and living out of home at the time, moved a few time and missed the deadline to clame what I lose. I buried my head in the sand and write it off as a loss for 10 years. Worked my arse off, built a house in the family and got back in in 2020. Hope what I’ve accumulated over the last four years one-day make up what I lost all those years ago

Many will sell and diversify into real estate, stocks etc. That is what the smart safe investors will do at least because most gox ppl are probably overweight bitcoin now and there is more in life to worry about than timing the top in bitcoin.

I'm one of the MtGox refugees.
As James says, most of the survivors are very aware of having lived through the last 11years. I'd not be too quick to assume much will be sold, if at all.
Could whales make it look like Gox selling? Yes, but I doubt it will be real.
Most commenting on Bitcoin today didn't even know it existed 11years ago, be careful assuming....
So, where did the rest of the stolen coins go?
Doesn't it live on a blockchain, can't it be tracked?
Funny how it can't when a government has stolen it.

Great thanks James. By my maths if someone bought 10 years ago at $452 now at $68k even if they only recovered 15% of hacked coins then they would still get a 20X return on intial investment? Thanks.

I want to believe you James, but those people are gunna sell like their life depends on it! It’s been 10 years for them already. They are not interested in holding for the potential extra 2x just because us plebs still need some upside. And if their selling isn’t enough, the US will step in and sell their bags too just to make sure full capitulation is achieved.

So please explain how billions of Institutional money enters the market and the price barely moves. Then 9 billion POTENTIAL selling pressure causes the price to fall through fear alone. And people are worried about the price falling. 🤷‍♂️
