You can also use a seccond screw. Aim it so the tip is going in at an angle towards the head and just barly use your impact to have it go in just enough to get the head of the screw to pop up slightly. You can then remove it by hand

If it is a stripped Philips head. I normally will purposefully strip it even more, until it resembles a square. Then I just use a square drill bit.

Works like a charm for larger screws and hinge screws.
