Kizuna Music - BanG Dream! S2 OP [Piano]

This is another "special" type arrangement and its the first "Ballad" type arrangement since my Nagi no Asukara Piano Medley in 2014. Initially, I wanted to upload a piano cover from the current Anime Season, but... for some reason, I didn't felt any inspiration at all and couldn't finish any of my started projects.
So instead, I made an arrangement of something I've always wanted to cover and that's of course a song from BanG Dream!

I have started playing BanG Dream! since July 2019 and I have went very deep into the rabbit hole of Gacha Hell Mobile Games. But I have no regrets: the Characters are really well written and their original Songs are simply addicting.
I have many favorite Bandori Songs, but Kizuna Music is probably the only one, which I will never grow tired of.

Since the original song is a powerful Rock song from start to finish, I was initially planning to do a similar fast-paced piano arrangement. But I thought.... why not try something different for once? How would Kizuna Music sound if it has been composed as a piano song from the very beginning? And from this point on, more and more ideas flew in and I transformed the original song into a slow Ballad type arrangement.

While arranging this song, I also remembered my humble beginnings as an piano arranger: Just the melody and very basic accompaniment, nothing else. It is the very essence of piano music, and I almost forgot how good simplicity can sound on the piano. In terms of my personal arrangement progress, this is probably the spiritual successor of my Snow Halation (Love Live!) arrangement from 2016 . While the first one is focused on utilizing all aspects of piano technique, this one is focused to draw out the "music" from the piano.

I also included an Easter egg for all the BanG Dream players in this arrangement: just imagine that !FEVER! is popping up at 5:42.

To be honest, in the last few weeks, I was pondering what my "role" on YouTube should be in the future. Due to my infrequent upload rate - mainly because of my own obsession with perfectionism - I cannot become a "regular" Youtuber. To be honest, I am still surprised how someone "un-Youtube-ish" like me has made it so far. I mean, my video editing is basic, I don't follow trending topics, and I only upload occasionally...

And yet, 1.5 Million people has subscribed me.
For this, I will always be grateful.

Therefore, thank you for listening my videos and as always, I will continue doing my best.

... actually, all girls in Bandori are best girls. Seriously (´。• ᵕ •。`)

Regarding the description: I can tell you why I subscribed. Because of Animenz and the great arrangements, nothing else. I don't want flashy thumbnails, crazy editing or trending topics and I don't even have any social media. There's plenty other places I can get those things. But there's only one Animenz channel.

I actually didn't know you uploaded today. It reminds me of back then (when we were actually uploading more) and have a coincidence when we upload on the same day. Good times. Also a beautiful arrangement. The piano/mics/arrangement lately has had a calm vibe, even melancholic sometimes. I don't know if that's on purpose or not, but there's something so special about it.
Hope to see you upload more. I'm getting back to uploading too, with songs that I actually cherish and love to listen to. Let's provide YouTube with some good piano music, like the good old days, yeah?

I think many people actually appreciate the "purity" of your activity on YouTube. No begging for likes, subscribers or patrons. No flashy visualisers or fancy end cards. The music always speaks for itself and never gets out of focus. And it's a life changing thing, your music. Be proud!

Alright, so, after listening, this really does feel like a "special" arrangement. I haven't heard the original, but hearing this it feels like it was meant to be played on piano, it sounds so pretty!!
Regarding why you got so far with youtube despite irregular uploads - the reason I think of "Animenz" in the same breath I think of anime piano music is because there really isn't anyone putting out sheet music quite like yours. The amount of classical techniques, the original ideas, the way the arrangements are so well thought out, it's just so distinctly "Animenz" and the quality is just so consistent I would wait 5 years for a new upload and just be happy that there is new music to appreciate. I guess in the same way people wait years for album releases from their favorite artists.

I don't want to drag this out too much, so long story short! I am mostly a youtube taught pianist and haven't touched classical music in 11 years. For the past 6 years, especially initially, 75% of what I played were Animenz arrangements, the rest were arrangements from theishter and kylelandry. Fast forward to this year - I got scouted by a piano professor at my college and I'm taking classical classes again, with my teacher telling me I have developed some great technique and strength, disbelieving that I have no classical repertoire at all. He forgets about it all the time lol "Do you have a Concerto in your repertoire?" "No..." (I'm not gonna tell him I could play Kuusou Mesorogiwi instead)

Playing classical music now I suddenly realized HOW much I learned just from your arrangements. You have literally taught me a ton of classical techniques without me realizing. Isn't that pretty damn cool?

So, I’ved recently lost the motivation I once had. Just couldn’t find a project to fully invest myself in but just like you have done years ago, I’ve have been motivated and inspired to finally get back to playing!

The reason I am subscribed, is the quality of the music itself. The arrangements that you channel all of your perfectionism into results in something that can't be found anywhere else.
I see other anime piano channels that have been inspired by your arranging style, yet don't have the technical ability to reach your level and I occasionally see those with technical abilities that surpass your own, but can never match up to your no-compromise perfectionism when arranging.
The amount of effort invested is just too inspiring for me not to stay subscribed.

Back when you released your kancolle medley, I dropped the guitar I had been learning for 10 years and started getting piano lessons. You made it seem like a piano could do anything - It felt like I was listening to a full orchestra and then the next minute I could hear the tubas and cymbal crashes in a marching band. If the piece needed another voice to represent the song, then you would find a way to do the gymnastics with your hands to weave that extra voice into the arrangement.

To this day, even some of the easier arrangements are too difficult and are things I look forward to learning down the line. The only arrangement of yours I have learnt so far is 'Blessing' from 'Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi'.

For me, frequent uploads and relevant songs are not important. The music that is inspiring to you, enough that you put your everything into it, will always result in the best video in my opinion.
Thank you for keeping me inspired over the years.

Animenz, your playing is the reason we subscribed. I found inspiration to fully immerse myself in piano and really focus on it and have motivation to continue playing because of your music. I’m sure that’s the case with many others as well. We don’t need flashy thumbnails, or clickbaity title, or a regular upload schedule. Animenz is the part of the internet that’s genuine about their work and is where people like us can stem their inspiration and motivation from. You have a certain style of playing - something that’s like you are being carried off; whisked away in the music and transported in that scene where the music is. Such magic doesn’t need anything to show that.

1. That was a fast week ! lmao not complaining tho xD
2. "To be honest, I am still surprised how someone "un-Youtube-ish" like me has made it so far (笑)
I mean, I don't have proper thumbnails, my video editing is basic, I don't follow trending topics, my social media management is infrequent, my upload rate is a joke...
And yet, 1.5 Million people has subscribed me."
I'm pretty sure those 1.5 million subscribed because of the high quality and will always await a new upload no matter how long you take to make one, me included (and yes I read description before watching the video)
3. I see that you remembered to wear long sleeve this time xD
4. I always love it when you add runs like these 0:11 to your arrangements ! they sound really amazing
5. 1:43 it wouldn't be an Animenz arrangement without 3-hand technique lol
6. 2:33 I'm impressed with that right hand, I like it
7. 2:58 that was close ! xD
8. 5:42 holy shit that last chorus ! I didn't expect you to go that wild considering the overall arrangement is very calm lol so it was a nice constrast and I loved every second of this video :)
I hope to see more of you in the future

You don't upload often but I know that each upload is something I can repeatedly listen to for ages and not get bored of <3. Quality is sometimes quite nice when there is a lot of quantity out there.

Not that quantity is bad, it's just that I have to go listen to find out if I like those pieces. Whereas I can just know that it's good before watching it here.

Great to see you back! Quality > Quantity is what I always believe in (and all your covers are just lit)

I really enjoyed this arrangement with the re-imagination of the entire piece, that brings the music out in a different, but a really impactful way.

Can’t wait to hear more arrangements!

P.S. Also, dang you’ve slimmed down a lot, stay healthy :3
