Queen : Live At The Summit | Houston,Texas | 11/12/1977

The legendary Houston show - legendary largely because it's video was the one of the most sought-after documents of Queen for decades. Queen performed at The Summit ,Houston,Texas on 11/12/77 during the News Of The World tour.

This show was filmed by Bob Harris' Old Grey Whistle Test crew, along with plenty of other footage (on and off stage) from the tour, originally intended for a documentary for TV in spring 1978 that ultimately never aired.

In November 2009, the band posted some concert videos from the 70s on their website in conjunction with the release of their "Absolute Greatest Hits" compilation.

Some of the Bob Harris footage from Houston was first seen in the 2011 Queen documentary "Days Of Our Lives" that aired on BBC Two.

I was there that night! It was my first rock concert ever at 16 y/o. Our floor seats were 4th row, center. I still have my carnation from the armful that Freddie threw out to the audience! I'm almost 64 y/o now and it was one of the most exciting nights of my life!!

Was blessed by being able to see original version of Queen 7 times, their light show, sound system and pyro tech was great. Freddy would have the crowd eating out of his hands, RIP Freddy❤

Dec. 5th 1977 @ the Stadium in Chicago Freddie didn't wear the black & white harlequin leotard...just white then black then shorts. The harlequin leotard & black leather was my favorite look. I think it's on display at the Queen Studio Experience in Montreaux
