The Everly Brothers with "Wake Up Little Susie" recorded from the original US 78 rpm shellac record on Cadence 1337. Released in the US in August 1957, the single peaked at Nr. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Chart, Country and R&B Charts. "Wake Up Little Susie", and the B-side, "Maybe Tomorrow", were recorded on August 15, 1957 at RCA Victor Studio in Nashville, Tennessee with Don Everly on lead vocal and acoustic rhythm guitar, Phil Everly on harmony vocal and acoustic rhythm guitar, Chet Atkins on electric lead guitar, Ray Edenton on guitar, Floyd T. 'Lightnin' Chance on bass, Floyd Cramer on piano and Buddy Harman on drums. The session was produced by Archie Blyer. Words and music by Boudleaux Bryant and Felice Bryant.
