Costa makes very beautiful ships. I do two cruises a year with them and there staff is amazing. The food is amazing and you genuinely build great friendships with the staff. I’m still in contact with the wonderful people from my first cruise on the smarelda. I’m truly greatful for this cruise line

Me and my boyfriend are going on our first ever cruise with costa this year. I read loads of bad reviews sadly.. We have the all inclusive package but I am worried now.. I think it might be easy to think the absolute worst when you read bad reviews and it's your very first holiday. Especially for breakfast. Is it doable to get something to eat before leaving the boat on an excursion day? Could you possibly ease these thoughts a little bit..? Im sorry if this is an odd question, just looking to get some ease of mind. We're going in June!

I like the Toscana in general, but I hate the Coloseo and miss a real atrium.

TOSCANA : Aucun plan pour se situer sur le navire. Ma femme est tombée malade suite à une intoxication au gaz (bateau alimenté au GNL) comme des dizaines d'autres passagers, vertige, maux de tête, aucun appétit, fatigue persistante, et aucune reconnaissance de responsabilité de la part de Costa qui fait passer cela pour une grippe. Il y a eu deux alarmes courtes et ils ont changé tous les filtres des clims dans la foulé, mais tout va bien. Réponse de l’accueil ce bateau fonctionne à l’énergie électrique, c’est fou ! il est aliment exclusivement au GNL. Aucun espace de paix pour lire à cause de la présence de haut-parleur agressif tous les 2 mètres. Volume sonore de toutes les animations insupportable, impossible de se déplacer sans son téléphone. Si pas de téléphone vous n'êtes pas servi a table, et chaque verre d'eau est payant ! ... je m'arete là mais il y a encore a dire.
Bref ce bateau est assourdissant de de bruit, sans aucuns plans de circulation, des jeux de lumière de boite de nuit.
SI vous êtes jeune, sourd, en très bonne santé pour supporter tout cela, et branché 24/24 a votre téléphone ce bateau est vous.

I took a Costa cruise...ONCE. The food was below average, at best. The service was the worst i have ever experienced (sooo slow) completely understaffed. I was in a suite so I could use the suite restaurant. Once the buffet closes, there are no free food options anywhere on the ship. One cannot even find free water, soda, coffee anywhere on the ship. They are trying to force you to go to the pay- for-food restaurants. Entertainment was pedestrian and the television in my suite had no English language content to speak of. If I didn't know better, I would have though I was on a soviet ship. Truly the most miserable cruise of my entire life.
