Clapton Blackie for under $90 | Legit or Con?

Today I am quite excited to share with you what I think is a very good value version of the Eric Clapton Strat, Blackie. What's more it is yours for under 90 bucks!

Well we all know that it isn't a Fender Stratocaster at this price but it definitely is a 'real' guitar. I unbox and demo the Glarry GST for you.

Is it too good to be true?

Let's find out...

Enjoy!!!!!

Thanks for watching and take good care folks! You have but one life - live and enjoy it. Peace :o)

Project guitar but it's great for a starter throw in some decent after market pickups and tuners then a setup it can be a decent guitar it's mad the affordability of guitars these days

I bought a Glary instrument, a keyboard harmonica that my grandson wanted. I looked on Amazon and it was priced great and I know from you and a couple others that they are a good company to buy from. It arrived fast and was perfect and I wanted to say thanks for the heads up on this company!

Nice video, thanks for sharing. I'm planning to pick one of these up eventually so would love to see what reasonable upgrades you make to take this guitar from "not bad" to "pretty good" for under $200 if possible. Cheers!

Nice interesting review. I'd love to see this compared to a Harley Benton ST-20.
This is an unboxing so only half a review can really be made. Tuning stability probably only shows that the strings are new and stretching and at this price, I don't know how much of the sound is due to dirt cheap strings.
Playability "out of the box" is reassuring info for beginners but the real question is if low action can be had without buzzing. Looking forward to "part 2".

That’s not a gig bag that’s a body bag for dead guitars😁

Hey Mike. It's definitely a good starter guitar. The whammy issues can be fixed. No fret sprouting is good to. The pickups can and should be swapped out. At least thats what I would do. Great video. Thanks again mate. So peace, cheers, later.

Nice demo and further proves your point that you can buy decent stuff, cheaply and not trademark infringe. The pickups sounded rather thin and lifeless, but that's an easy upgrade. You really can't complain too much about a playable guitar for under $100. May be a good modding platform. God Bless and Rock on brother!

Nice unbiased review. Probably would not get this myself, but if you are on an extreme budget and can do some tweaking, hard to go wrong for that price.
I noticed at 12:36 what looks to be fret board wear or smudging. Is the fretboard reliced at all or was it just smudging/dirt/wearing off the satin?

I just purchased one a all New Black Glarry Strat with Black Pick guard and hardware with a Maple Neck. One Beautiful guitar in my eyes. Different head stock though. Although I have never played guitar it looked so good for $69.99 on Ebay plus NJ tax for a grand total of around $70 bucks I had to have it. Still owning a 1968 Vox Viscount Amp used from my mid to late ‘60’s playing Hey days playing Farfisa and Vox Continental Organs while in high school I just recently restored the Amp. Being I am running out of time 2 months away from turning 70 I think I will give it a stab and try to learn how to play this Glarry Guitar. Any advice on the best ways to start is always welcome. With Covid still happening out there I have plenty of time during retirement to dab into it.

Are these guitars being newly manufactured to meet this price point.
Or are they a highly discounted bulk disposal of old unsold OEM warehouse overstock ?
Which could mean they were originally intended to be sold at a higher price under a different brand name... ???

I wish Glarry would send me a 🎸 guitar! I would really appreciate it by not looking for things wrong with it. I've noticed when they review a budget guitar they find everything wrong with it. This 🎸 guy is an exception. He's giving a honest review.

Very nice. It looks like there is no finish on the fret board. Good enough for this price, but, is annoying over the long road. Great unboxing and review! Thanks for all you do! I've been looking at a few of their guitars. They look like great deals.

About the same quality one would expect from a high end fender. Same choppy sound, only really shines in guess.

I have the Glarry GT502 acoustic. It's pretty decent once the truss rod is adjusted, good strings are put on, and the fret ends sanded down to where I'm comfortable with them. They should make Telecasters as well as Strats! I would love to try a Glarry Tele!

The lines from Layla are hysterical on this thing. It's $90 so expected that but still funny
