as a resident of UP, law and order far better than what it was in past govts. All gangsters are in jail and afraid of the police.

I am UP and I can tell you goondas have actually reduced drastically in UP. I feel more safe at home(earlier there were kaccha baniyan gang and bawariya gang) confident about going out at night. Moreover, he is also taming the bureaucracy and tainted IPS officers.
As far as SGDP is concerned, the entire Indian Economy was slipping down from 2017 onwards due to demonetisation, I suppose SGDP of other states might also have gone down, you cannot blame him for that.

It is as if UP was the best state in every sphere before Yogi ji came to power. Things have become better than before but we have miles ahead.

I wonder if you've deliberately excluded Yogi Adityanath's handling of CAA riots. People actually appreciate how effectively he handled that situation and didn't let his state burn like Delhi.
Also you yourself in past CTCs have appreciated how Yogi's relaxation of labour, other industrial laws will result in industries growth in the state. Why overlook them now..

Ground reality is often not reflected in growth numbers. Factors like availability of electricity, water, law & order, roads, highways, etc. are some of the improvements that I have personally witnessed during his tenure being a resident for over 11 years.

I’m a UPite. I’m very happy with progress in UP since Yogi came in power. In ten years time, people will see a UP that pulls its own weight at national level. UP is not sinking by any stretch of imagination.

I remember in mid 2000s, most Delhi based journalists were writing off Modi. However, BJP won the 2007 elections under his leadership. So, the true test is not a journalist's opinion but the electoral results

Why does he not see any atrocities in Rajasthan, Kerala and other Congress administered states? While population wise these states are far lower than that of UP selective Journalism

So Arnab being blatantly targetted by Maharashtra government is okay because it's a Congress government but if it's Rajdeep and BJP then it's not okay. Hypocrisy ki bhi seema hoti hai.😂

Same thing people told about Modi when he was Gujarat CM.
Yogi is next PM candidate.

For me it is more about how much infrastructure has been developed in the last few years to set a base for Manufacturing and Service Enterprises to help them set up their bases in the state which will ultimately lead to better Economic Growth.

Samajwadi Party was only targeting and directing development towards Lucknow and overall towards Western UP. Yogi is trying to provide equitable development in every district, even in Eastern UP. Some of this can be seen by the following:-
1. UP has currently got 7 Expressways under construction (All funded by the State), all having a range of over 200 kms. 3 out of 7 are Pan UP or will cover majority of UP thus providing equitable development to all regions to some extent.

2. It has planned 1 Bullet Train Corridor whose DPR is being prepared (Delhi-Varanasi which will be extended uptil Kolkata in future). Construction Work to hopefully begin soon.

3. UP has become the 4th highest FDI receiving state after Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, it has overtaken some of the more developed states like Karnataka and Telangana.

4. 1 National Waterways and 1 Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor is being developed to ease the logistics cost and make goods transportation more competitive.

5. UP achieved the second highest rank in Ease of Doing Business. It gained 16 ranks in the last 2 years. This will again largely help attract investments which will help the state grow faster.

6. UP is developing 1 Defence Corridor which is being constructed to help the country in wide scale Defence Manufacturing. It is the only second Corridor of such sort being developed in India after the first one in Tamil Nadu.

7. UP has currently got 3 International Airports with atleast 3 more under construction. This will make it a state with the highest number of Int. Airports. 4 Domestic Airports are also under construction.

8. Lastly UP has got Metro operational in 3 cities namely Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Noida. Atleast 2 more cities (Agra, Kanpur) will get Metro in the next 2 years as construction has already reached mid stage in 1 year and many more metros in cities are under DPR stage waiting for approval.

Shekhar Sir, you have not mentioned any of this in your NI episode. Atleast give credits where it is due.

I know Social Indicators are very important. Health, Education, Sanitation and Law and Order are very important for the development of the state but we forget that these are not the only things one requires for economic development. Economic Development requires more of Manufacturing and Services to grow as well than the Social Indicators. For that too happen you need proper infra. in place, which UP unfortunately till now didn't have. It is only in the last 6-7 yrs that UP has started focusing on Infrastructure. Also poor social indicators are a reflection of past government's failures as well. UP got a BJP govt. after 15 years in 2017. 2000-14 was the period of economic boom in India and UPA was present both in Center and State. What were they doing?... Why couldn't they develop social indicators in UP in those 15 odd years (2002-17)?... Why only blaming Yogi for that who has come to power just around 4 yrs ago. If you are blaming him for his mistakes which are to some extent correct as well then also praise him for the above indicators. Atleast give him one more term to help develop the state on Social Parameters as well. He might be very communal and I do agree with you but he is delivering. If Congress and Left can divide Hindu votes on the basis of Caste then why can't BJP on the basis of religion. Simple yet unethical logic.

If only Social Indicators would have led to economic development then Kerala would by far be the most developed state but Kerala unfortunately today is nowhere in Infrastructure to attract wide scale investments and Economic Development. It has got great social parameters, I have absolutely no doubt about it but same can't be said about it's economic parameters. It has high unemployment rate and Kerala is highly dependent on Income from abroad, specially from Gulf. No matter how good it's social indicators are the fact is that due to too much Left leaning Socialist attitude Kerala has never been able to develop the infrastructure required to make it even Pharmaceutical or Education hub of the country, two areas where it has expertise in and has a great potential. So if UP isn't a perfect model which I do agree, Kerala isn't one either.

Note: You can label me a Bhakt for stating simple facts available on the net.
