EDIT 1: after reading a couple of comments I realize now that my joke went over a lot of people's head, so I will make it clear: "caralho/carajo" is a curse word for "penis". The joke here is that they sound similar to Karai, which just means "it's spicy".
This comment is a joke for portuguese and spanish speakers, but with this explanation I am hoping those who did not know this, can laugh with us as well. :^D

EDIT 2: after so many comments I've decided to leave an informative piece of history as well.
The word "caralho/carajo" was always used as a term for penis, but it was also used as a slang term to refer to the crow's nest which usually was on the tallest map of the ship, due to its phallic nature.
Being sent to the "caralho/carajo" was meant as a punishment because you were all alone, looking out for stuff at the vast infinity of the sea, AND because it was so high up, it made people super sick from all the rocking back and forth.
This is why "Vai pró caralho!/Vete al carajo!" is an insult to this very day. ;^)
