Hey Lonyea, I like how you did that. I don't even attempt to put my hair in a low ponytail because it just never seems to work but I've never tried splitting my hair in half, I'll have to see if that technique works for me. TFS💋

We have about the same texture hair, how do u maintain the style because my hair gets stuck in whatever position I put in. Pineapple is a no go for me and I wake up with my hair going in all direction such a frustrating thing. Tip and tricks???

You could try doing half long way (as if doing pigtails), gelling down and tying up that half towards the center then using one other ponytail holder to get the other half combined with the first half. I find it was shorter for me but depends on your thickness
