About 2 years ago Costco releases a Kirkland 22 year scotch from Alexander Murray for about $79 and it was outstanding. Haven't been able to find it since.

These name brand companies realize that there are two different customers, those who will pay top dollar for the name brand label, and those who don't care about the label and look for the cheapest price.

The companies make a killing off their label for those willing to pay for it. It's what the market will bear. But although less of a killing, it's still very profitable for them to sell their product for a cheaper price without the name brand label. They may change some ingredient or something ever so slightly so that they can claim it's a different product. Still, they charge what the market will bear for their non-label product.I went to a snack food maker, and saw the same product dispersed in both name brand labeled bags and Great Value bags.

Knowing all of that, I personally always buy the non-label product (e.g., Walmart's Great Value).

Towards the end of the video when Kirkland batteries is discussed, where the presenter says it is from Duracell; well, I wonder about that in 2024.
Inside the package of the last batch of Kirkland batteries I bought, there was an *Energizer* batteries "Go Rewards" QR code card enclosed.
Obviously the Energizer brand paid to have that promotion card inserted in the Kirkland batteries pack; but it makes one wonder if Kirkland has switched from Duracell to Energizer brand of batteries?

Terrible luck with Costco AA batteries. Only buy Duracell. Too many leaks!

I had high hopes for Kirkland's Anejo Tequila after seeing reviews. Sadly, the product is not good. It's cheap and tastes like cheap tequila. Says 100% agave but tastes like a blend. That Fortaleza tequila in the video is MUCH better. And more expensive. I have had the Kirkland bottle I bought to try sitting on my bar for a long time. If you see the bottles next to each other at Costco, go for the Fortaleza. Or Lalo. Or El Tesoro. So many better choices are available.
