Chat App Tutorial With ReactJS, NodeJS, Socket.IO [Part 2]

In this tutorial i am teaching how to make a Chat App with ReactJS and Socket IO. This will include different rooms and username. It is probably going to be a 2 video series where I will use web sockets to send data in realtime.

I don't know why but my server and client have a hard time communicating.. IT's on the same port but anytime I got do anything like connect, send a message or anything it doesn't update even with Console.logs.... It only updates super fast when I go to close the server down with Ctrl + C. Sadly I couldn't get this project to work. If you can update us all with some new code for, perhaps, a later version of all of the software that'd be dope. Otherwise I have no idea what to do.

its not comunicating the pages in my case, after downloading the github files i did "npm install" in the client, then "npm start" and tried to test it in two ways:
1)open a new window in chrome and putting the same port or a different one
2)open a new terminal and writing again npm install

also tried to manually install in the terminal express cors and socket.io in the server and add socket.io-client in the client and still i doesn´t

if i inspect the page in chrome it said an error:
Line 20:6: React Hook useEffect has an unnecessary dependency: 'CONNECTION_PORT'. Either exclude it or remove the dependency array. Outer scope values like 'CONNECTION_PORT' aren't valid dependencies because mutating them doesn't re-render the component react-hooks/exhaustive-deps
