Being a CEO getting paid millions of dollars is the same odds as me being a NFL quarterback, supermodel, or Tom Cruise. I could also drop out of school and start "Apple" in my parents' garage.

I'm an entrepreneur owning a singing telegram and ballroom dance lessons business. I had to laugh when you said entrepreneurs may have to wear 10 different hats. That's me! I have a lot of different singing telegram costumes (all with hats) and various ballroom dance outfits! After 37 years in business I guess you could say I'm successful. However, due to the current COVID-19 crisis I am temporarily out of business since all dance classes and singing telegrams (delivered at social gatherings) have been cancelled for now. Moral of the story, entrepreneurs must have back up savings!

Marketing managers make a load of money 💴 it’s not the easiest job bc you have to understand so many aspects of business and psychology

You should make a video about your career and your personal experience, troubles, any regrets or second thoughts, anything you didn’t expect from your career, and anything you would change or anything you’d emphasize as important to do. Maybe your age, how long you’ve been working, just tell us all about ya :D

As long as no one puts high finance careers like private equity in the spotlight, all the Harvard grads will be able to keep taking them, we wouldn’t want everyone making $400k at age 26

I think its important to note that almost all of these jobs require 10 to 40 years of experience and strong leadership skills

I think you do great videos with a lot of value. Evidently your knowledge about these subjects goes beyond simply reading about the subject. My impression is that you have internalized the content of your videos. Great job!

I dont know how realistic most of these professions are as to outearning an average doctor in the average case. All these jobs either dont make as much as a doctor other than those at the top of the field or are titles where there is no real pathway to get into it (There is no CEO school that guarantees a CEO job, whereas MD school at least gives you the closest thing to a professional guarentee of being a doctor). If you make it to a US med school you will have ~95% of actually getting to practice medicine and make >200K. Med School and residency are hard but almost everyone who enters makes it

Hi Shane, thank you so much for making your videos. Thanks to you I have a clear idea of which career journey I want to embark on. With regards to this video I do agree that these careers pay more than a doctors salary, however the examples you made are exceptional cases. Getting those positions is not easy, many life factors play a role. The main factor being the company you work for. The CEO of Google will probably earn more than the CEO of a "not so well known" company. To be real, millionaires are the exception. Who you are and your timing will play a major role in your success.

Like Tim Cook did for Steve Jobs, took over as CEO after Steve passed. Great lists, Shane!!
