Government Employees Pension Fund achieves 9.6% growth in the 2021/2022 period

The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) says despite the country's tough economic times, the fund had managed to achieve a 9,6% growth in the 2021/2022 period. GEPF is Africa's largest pension fund with more than 1.2 million active members, in excess of 450 000 pensioners and beneficiaries.
The fund says the outcome points to an increase of R201 billion from the previous financial year. This has been attributed to positive domestic market conditions, equities growth, and rising commodity prices a month other.
