Yes, I would recommend this if you are looking for a compact digital camera that you can carry in your pocket. The HX20V should perform quite well at concert venues. It has excellent low-light capability and produces amazing video footage. The onboard stereo mic is great and can provide great sound quality, but for your particular situation, it will depend on your location to the band or speakers and the amount of ambient noise around you. Zoom, lighting, and movement can be handled in settings.

The HX20V can record in 1080P up to 60fps in AVCHD then slowed down to half speed (30fps) or lower (24fps) and still retain excellent video quality. To accomplish this, you will need to edit the video in an external editor such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Sony Vegas, or Corel ProX. Some video editors can edit AVCHD 2.0 natively, but others may need to have the video converted first.

RCA cables? Uh maybe, if you can find an adapter.

Recharging via USB = Yes, Transfer via USB = Yes

I'm looking for a camera for concerts. I know there are other cameras that are better, like DSLR's, but I need a camera that is compact because most DSLR's aren't allowed in concert venues. Anyway, would you recommend this camera for concert settings? Would the video/sound quality still be great in a loud environment? How would pictures look with all the lighting changes, movement, etc in concerts? Also, will taking zoomed in pics while the subject is moving still come out ok?

Sir I'm interested to buy this stuff. But before going to the store, I like to know
something from you abot this camera which I didn't find anywhere in the web.
1. Recording highspeed videos- Can I record vids in slow motion? If yes, please
specify its resolution and fps
2. Option for AV cable- HDMI ok.But Is there any option to connect AV cable(ie;RCA cable) from this camera to TV?
3. Can I recharge battery via USB? Transfer fotos from SD Card to PC via USB? Watch fotos & vids in PC via USB?
