I had a '63 impala S.S. 327 4 barrel, 4 speed, posi, 12" clutch, with a S.W. tach mounted on the steering column. Metallic brown with tan interior. My fave of all time!

Mine was black on black, power glide, 283 4 bbl, fuelie cam w/solid lifters. Wasn’t real fast but girls loved it! And I loved that.😎

My vote is this was the best year. I suppose if you went farther back in time and grabbed cars with wings...but this modern 1960's look was welcoming in the space age.

I've been able to upgrade from a 63 impala to a 63 SS impala. I didn't thing there was a big difference until I owned one. I was just happy to own an impala. Now I can't go back. Obviously the next step up is the convertible. Congratulations on your build.

I once owned this model Impala, the only difference is my SS had a Muncie m21 4 speed. Great car, I miss it!

After 60 years that was pretty good, no flames/ backfiring too much trouble to get her going, doesn't sound half bad for as long as it sat. I'd still douche the seats in the thing due to all the embedded farts over the years

I've got a 63 SS a 65 Convertable and a 95 SS. I have 17 inch rims on my 63 now but after seeing this I may get bigger rims. My 65 is a classic lowrider with the 13 inch triple reversed player wire wheels. This is a beautiful car. I'm gonna go wipe mine down a bit after this is over.
