The 1st twilight had a very raw vibe: The way it was shot, the coloring of the sets, and maybe dialogue. After that, the colors felt more bolder and shot more like a mainstream movie.

I remember being in high school, had a book report, hated reading (short attention span/got very sleepy) so I ended up getting a pirated movie of Twilight when it was just released. Book report was bad; it was a vocal book report and it was grouped with other classmates who picked Twilight so still got a decent grade.

Anyway I loved the movie so much I would come home from school and watch it every day, sometimes multiple times for like two weeks. And it was very bad quality as you can imagine, but I loved that movie so much. Twilight is one of those movies I can still watch repeatedly and not get tired of it. Eventually, I read all the books. I started to enjoy reading after that.

I was in my 50's and loved the movies and books. I saw the first movie and started reading the books from a friend and seeing the one movie I could see the characters faces as I read the books. I'd call my friend and tell her I needed the next book before I finished the one before. I was hooked and would panic if she wasn't finished with the one I needed next. I'm glad I read those books because it got me back into reading that I had love to do in my 20's. I probably have around 500 books in my kindle that I have already read the majority of. I just got my fourth kindle because I accidentally drop them and the shatter some and my husband told me this last one I dropped that we couldn't order a new one but he turns around and tells me to order a new one because he don't want me to read between the broken lines he says I know you love to read. Got to love him.

This is what the teens of today don’t realize! The story was so new, so different and unique that it vacuumed us all in. Now you can make fun of it all you want but it’s because you weren’t there pre-Twilight before the details of it all were ingrained in everyone’s psyche. 😊

The first movie will forever and always be my favourite. *Chef’s kiss motion 😘* This was the first time Rob came back on screen since Potter (to my knowledge at the time…) I hadn’t known much of Kristen’s work since Speak…AND Catherine Hardwicke put in the effort to portray the characters as teenagers. The location was a character in itself, grounding the story with a strong sense of place. (Granted, there’s a hint of campiness, or not taking production seriously that makes it more endearing in my eyes.)
