This is what I love about Chanel. I’m 50, and prefer soft, blended, barely visible makeup - enough to even out/blur my skin, give me dimension, enhance my features, make me feel “put together”. Chanel does this - so beautifully. ❤ 👍

Both are lovely of course, but Dior is my favorite. I have more Dior than anything else. I bought the other Dior eyeshadow palette because I didn’t have those colors in my collection and it called to me. I did buy both blushes and the pinky lipstick as well. I also bought the Givenchy lipstick as well. That color! The peachy blush can take me into the spring. They are both gorgeous!

I actually bought more pieces of the Dior collection than the Chanel. I really enjoy the pieces that I did purchase from both. Love this video Allie❤🤩☕

Tome, Dior is far superior to Chanel in everything :). Talking about packaging, they went above and beyond with their boxes this year. I ordered from the Collection Privée and the box is outstanding.

To be honest - and I'd be surprised if I was the first one to make that comment - even though I LOVE the Moon theme in the Chanel collection, I struggle to see the link between our beautifully gray Moon and the orange tones of the palette. That would have been an incredible opportunity to make a grey-toned palette... and I'd probably have bought it!

Hi Allison. I picked up the Chanel quad. It is very orange/copper on me. I am very fair with blue eyes and cool undertones. Surprisingly, it looks awesome on me! I was quite delighted. 😊

Dior is too pigmented, although i do love last year’s holiday quad, but Chanel is my brand. Always loved Chanel, and still do. Between Chanel and Suqqu, thats all i need. I do love a few things from WA, from Chantecaille and Hermes, but majority is Chanel🙌 Have a blessed day🙏🧡

Please consider doing a look with the Dior Holiday Cosmic Eyes palette. I purchased it because I thought it would be a good eye colour story for a red lip or even a deeper or more intense coloured lip, however I'm not sure how to use it. I have your colouring (dark hair, light-medium complexion with neutral undertones) so I'm curious to see how you would use it. (I also suspect that this palette would suit paler skin tones as well.)

The surprise standout for me is the Dior Galactic Red blush. It's pigmented but with just a light touch it gives a wonderful winter flush to the cheeks. Placed a little forward on the cheeks and a light caress on the nose for a daytime look, and the effect given is like just stepping indoors from a winter walk. Placed just above the hollows of the cheek and you have a sophisticated evening look. I find myself reaching for this limited edition blush so often that I purchased a back up, I like pairing it with the Limited edition 1947 Miss Dior Lipstick for a polished day look that I purchased a back up of the lipstick as well. With the vast array of makeup out there, purchasing a backup is something I rarely do, but this Dior combo charmed me.

Now if only I could figure out that cosmic eye palette.

Loved the comparisons and the choices you made. I have been a frequent customer of both brands. Because I’m a woman of a “certain age” Chanel is my favorite. However, I adore Dior eyeliners, and some of the more neutral nude palettes.
While I’m thinking about it, you did not say or post the lipstick you’re wearing. Would you share? It’s a gorgeous shade.

Hi Allison! I couldn't get my hands on the Chanel Holiday collection. The 4 les ombres are out of stock in my country and on their E-shop ! I ended up purchasing the shade (warm memories) I think from the spring 2020? I'm new to this . I owned two of their rouge coco and coco bloom 💄
I just wanted to say Merry Xmas and happy holidays! My first name is also Alison but only with one "L " haha! In my country, there are very little Alison's or Allison's who are born in the Gen Z era .
