The Aeolian Islands sometimes referred to as Lipari are a collection of seven volcanic islands in the Province of Messina in Sicily.

There are seven significant islands: Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Stromboli, Filicudi, Alicudi and Panarea, in the Tyrrhenian Sea. To get to the islands you can take a ferry from Milazzo . The Aeolian islands were named after the greek god for wind Aeolus. I went to Salina and was blown away by her stunning beauty. Unlike some of the other islands that have more active volcanoes Salina has volcanos that have been dormant for 13,000 years.
Salina has three communities, all can be reached by curvy, windy roads. We take you around Salina and also a peak at some of the other islands in Sicily .
