I have loved minis since I was a child… and I LOVED the mini culture and what it stood for. Character… freedom… rawness…. Individuality… it’s all down the tubes with mini. No wonder the enthusiasts have moved on to other brands. Mini did it to their selves. After seeing these models, I honestly won’t be surprised to see them going bankrupt in a few years. How are you going to make a mini with no manual??? The interior looks soooo cheap and sooo Japanese. You can’t expect people to pay German prices with Japanese style. That’s just not how that works. I’ll just keep my manual r57 and keep the road hot. Terribly disappointed that they’re all going electric too… yhe days of mini being an outstanding staple on the road, are sadly over. I don’t know if they’ll ever recover.

Why Mini would axe the manual transmission when 22% of 2023 Cooper S owners optioned their Mini with a manual is beyond me. Genuinely hope that they pull something similar to what Toyota did w/ the Supra and that they reintroduce the option for a manual in later model years.

I'm happy to see the side by side. I saw that middle version and was repelled; it felt like the car company was pandering to what was already on the road and abandoning its iconic shape. So, seeing that the 2025 model year does have the older styling makes me interested in this model year. So a potential sale.

when i first saw the j01 online, i liked the rear than the front same goes with f66, i must odd one out of preferring the back before both front styling :) cant wait to see them in the metal as soon as they are around to view.

I have a f54 301 hp and no way these are better. Too simplistic, too sparse too feminine and if they’re not careful could turn into a female brand which will kill it altogether down the road….

Worth pointing out, real leather is consistently more durable than faux leather. Guy on YouTube cuts up shoes to prove this time and time again. Go watch him if you don’t believe me. It’s also a myth to say real leather isn’t sustainable. Car reviewers repeat this marketing slogan ad nauseam, while understanding nothing of holistic land management. Saying a word doesn’t make make a truth. Real leather literally grows and can easily be farmed regeneratively, improving soil as it rotates the pastures in a planned holistic fashion. Improved soil positively affects everything locally, from cleaning rivers, to increased biodiversity, to enhanced water sequestration and run-off protection, which guards against droughts when they come, helping to replenish aquifers, and improving human health via healthy food and environment. Nature doesn’t make mistakes. Farm regeneratively with nature and nature pays it back in rewards.

The entire BMW lineup and now MINI too look cheap and ugly, ever since the current Gen 4 Series. I’ve been saying this that the only fix to this problem is to fire the entire current visual design team at BMW.

For years I've been waiting (along with mini enthusiasts), eager and excited to finally see this new model...and now we get THIS? Almost everything with this model is dissapointing to say the least, but the rear and tail? it's just really ugly, beyond bad. Is mini trying to go bankrupt on purpose?
