These micros are better for use on gimbals, thanks to the fact that they don't poke out the back and bump into the mechanisms

Hi, thanks for the nice video. I only make documentaries outdoors, for working people (ethnic groups in remote countryside). I would like to ask a question please: I have a GH6 camera and its microphone is good. Again, I don't use the camera in my country, but only when traveling far. I don't do interviews. If you were me, would you use a small external mic or would you do without it? Thank you.

I’m using that mic on my Sony Zv-1f and I’m not getting any sound in my video. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

That’s not what phantom power is. +48v is not output by consumer grade slr’s. You have to step up to a camcorder or C300 for that capability or use an audio recorder that can provide that amount of power. This pulls from the camera batter directly to provide power for the mic (little, admittedly) And it’s not a shotgun microphone, it’s a cardioid condenser. Appreciate the review but the facts aren’t exactly correct.

Personally I think the dead cat is really cute. I saw ppl on videos using it and I was searching which mic comes with this dead cat lol.
