DELTARUNE Secret boss fight JEVIL

Secret boss in the Castle on the "??????" level.
Took me a couple of tries to beat.

It kinda frightens me that he says there are HARDER bosses than him.

Just a few tips for anyone trying to beat the boss;

Pirouette should be used with caution as it can do things like give Jevil sans' invincibility frame avoidance. However it can do amazing things like swapping around your character's HP, giving susie's to kris or to Ralsei. Either way, it helps.

I recommend saving the topcake for until all but one character is down AND that character is on low HP as it is a full party res and full restore.

Ralsei's healing should be used sparingly as items should do it for you and if not, use it on the same turn you'd use Pirouette so that you're prepared for any ill effects

Because of her high HP, Susie makes a REALLY good item healer, Ral makes a good TP farm along with her if you don't need HP, and Kris is good for just whittling down Jevil.

Jevil's Club circle attack, where he surrounds the bullet box and sends them all in at once can be easily avoided by staying in an area right between two clubs, in such a way that they will not hit you. I don't know why, but none of the others will hit you either, merely come very close.

His carousel attack. This is a hard one to avoid so you may have to tank it outright. However, keep in mind that only the body hurts you, you will phase right through the head. It's good to stay against the right wall of the box and just go along with however the little figures are moving.

From my runs of him, that Devilsknife attack with the extra red knife...honestly it was so difficult to avoid that I focused on dodging the main knives and stayed on the bottom, just tanking the red hits

Hope this helps anyone trying to beat him! The reward is kind of lackluster since you only have a few fights to the end by the time you can possibly fight jevil, but what Susie and Ral say when you put it on is just adorable X3

I beat Undyne The Undying after 5 attempts.
I beat Sans after 12.




I beat him after 18.

The jester/joker card. Ok since he is in a deck of cards... And usually you leave the jesters out of game for example “go fish.” (Since there is only two of them) so maybe that’s why he is in Prison? Since he is banned from playing games? That’s why he wanted to play a game? Maybe it’s just because he is evil but whatever.

Just some interesting it’s bits, but look at roulsx akaards face, it resembles gaster quite a bit. His name is almost an anagram for “dark soul”, and the jester warns you about the shadow in the knights hand... remember how gaster spoke (in hands lol)

Susie or Ralsei (Rank A or Rank B) - Has magical abilites, susie has High HP but not defence, Ralsei Has low atk, def and hp due to being
