Deltarune - Jevil Boss Fight Pacifist (Secret Boss)

Not the most optimal fight ever (I get hit quite a lot more than i would like)but this was both my 3rd ever fight with him and when basically no video of the fight existed so i didn't really have any great strategies to use, but it gets the job done.

I like how the dialogue box says he’s getting more tired but he’s actually dancing more chaotically as time goes on

I just realised it. Jevil is the joker card. That is why he has all the 4 card types of attacks.

The scariest thing about him is because he plays like we would.

In any RPG-strategy game it is essential to target the healer, then the damage dealer, to slowly corner the All-Man.

He tends to attack, in order, Ralsei, the healer. Then, Susie, the damage dealer, then finally, Kris, the all-man.

He tends to overuse his difficult-to-dodge attacks on you, because why the hell would you go easy on your enemy?

I love the way Toby Fox plays with symbolism. Jevil is supposed to be "outside of this world." We are trapped and he is free.

And Toby shows that he's different by giving him a 3D spinning background and voice acting.

I like the compressed voice bits, they add a lot of charm to this fight

This song and megalovania FEELS like you are fighting more than just another enemy. With sans, you feel like you are fighting a true equal. With Jevil it feels like he is the one playing the game.

If the entire story of Deltarune takes place inside Kris’ and Susie’s minds, then Jevil must be a brain tumour.
