With so much publicity on him at a young age let's hope there is people round him to keep him grounded and humble

Thing is, he could always peak really early if he is pushed too hard and gets hurt or loses passsion for the game, so let’s not put too much pressure on him to be the next Messi or to be better

That’s because at that time, players were not allowed to play in senior treats until around 18 or 19.

I wish Lamine Yamal all the success he deserves and maintains humility. There's a saying that states that it is not how you start but how you finish. I hope the young generation of football players take good care of themselves mentally and physically in year to come

Lamine will win Ballon D’Or one day, but don’t sleep on Nico, he’s special too, he shined brighter in that final

He definitely shined, but please let's not compare him to Pele

16 most of the competition is crazy.
Then there's few 17y/o players/legends that did a great season. For exemple Raúl at 17 did a great season for Real Madrid and helped them to bring their 1st Liga title in 5 years then the rest is history. Bojan also did a great first season at 17 years old without being able to confirm after. R9 was having crazy numbers at 17 too in Cruzeiro.. All that to say this kid seems really special and we wish him a great career

When mentioning Pele: "But they were both in friendlies" Let's remind ourselves that friendlies back then were unlike friendlies today. They actually destroy you in there and starters play and were actually serious. Unlike today where is the time for academy players to get minutes

Credit to Yamal tho, if he keeps it up he can be a huge legend

'He shined' - incorrect.

'He shone' - correct.

Put lamine in the era of all the legends you mentioned and see if he would survive making it even out from the youth teams, don't compare, football is easy this era,

Pele was much better. He scored a hattrick in a WC-semi at 17.

Cristiano Played in Sporting Lisbon's first team at 16.

Count on Americans to make up their own facts. Pele had already won the world cup and scored a hat trick at 17 in the final.

Mbappe won the World Cup when he was 19💀

Just a friendly reminder, when you get ahead of everyone else at the beginning of the race ... it does not mean you Won. Let's wait and see how his career develops and end before giving such bold comparisons with legends of the game who already accomplished great achievments.

Remember that, the quality at that time cannot be compared to this generation. Yamine will not make it into the senior team at that time

King Pelé was 17 years old when he became a world champion with Brazil. He scored a hat-trick in the semifinals against France and 2 goals in the final against Sweden, who were the hosts.
