I just made shortbreads with these, it works ok and does make a nice thick cookie. Rather large for shortbreads in my opinion, and are very prone to sticking to the stamp rather than the pan, even with oil and an ungreased pan.

I'm wanting to use these with a shortbread dough, which I usually cut into thicker pieces. Can I start with a bigger ball to make them thicker?

The Halloween stamps recipe shows multi-colored cookies. I understand using the stamp as a mold, but then how to you release the dough from the stamp? They don't bend like silicone molds do.

Is there something else I can try-mine keeps getting stuck to the stamp. It won't separate.

Have you tried using parchment paper for baking?

You mean, minimal effort. If it were zero effort you wouldn't be lifting your arm or stamping the cookies manually.
