US considers deal with Hamas to release American hostages

You don't negotiate with terrorists. They never keep their side of the deal. If Hamas agrees to a cease fire, missiles will then rain in from Yemen and Lebanon. It happened every time there was a cease fire agreement. It then gives Iran time to resupply Hamas.

I understand that President Biden's team proferred not one, but two earlier agreements to which Israel said "YES, " and hamas said, "no." If so, why wasn't that reported? And what's with negotiating with terrorists? All of this is complex and difficult to negotiate without rewarding the aggressors. . And what does/will Israel get in return if hamas finally decides that the war they started, the killing they started and continued, and the devastation to the country they claim to represent is ongoing - how can they come from any good position?
