The Battle of Hue in Vietnam was one of the pivotal events during the Vietnam War and took place in 1968. It was an urban street battle that lasted for over a month, pitting South Vietnamese and American forces against North Vietnamese and Viet Cong troops. The fighting was intense, occurring in narrow alleys and buildings throughout the city. Eventually, after numerous challenges, the South Vietnamese and American forces regained control of the city, but the casualties on both sides were significant.

My grandpa was there during this battle. His commanding officer saved his life. The stories he tells, it's hard to listen to them, because you can tell he is still reliving the days he spent over there. By God's grace and protection, he survived the war.
