Dori Raccoon - Part 3, Gaze of Raccoons

Dori surprised us with two more kits! All summer long she has been showing up only with a single baby but we suspected she might've had more and she confirmed our curiosity. Everyone looks healthy and are doing well. One is extraordinary timid and decides to hang back a distance to watch their siblings eat. Footage is sped up a hint as we wouldn't want anyone to fall asleep waiting to see what happens next.

Fun little fact: a group of raccoons is called a gaze.

NOTE: Our rescue raccoons resides in a region where there hasn't been a case of raccoon rabies for over three decades which is tracked by the local public health department.

We are fortunate to be able to observe and professional work with a variety of wildlife species since we reside next to a protected wildlife preserve. Our rescue raccoons lounge and play on our terrace as well as use it as a thoroughfare. No children nor pets are ever harmed, especially the wild animals captured in these videos.

Please note that none of the raccoons are our pets thus please follow your local wildlife guidelines for the safety of humans and animal wildlife alike.

They are so cute. Do you talk to your babies? I'm sure they would love the sounds of your kind voice
