Brian, this is fantastic. The most useful info for stereos on this poxy car. Brian, I have put in a new Alpine CDE-196DAB head unit and cannot for the life of me get any radio display, nor the steering control to mesh with the unit. Any ideas and is there a way of getting any relevant code for a non-Renault head unit?

Hi Brian. Please can you shed some light on a problem I have? I got a 2006 clio. Last Thursday I had a service done on my car. The bloke doing the service noticed that my steering wheel was a bit on the loose side and needed to remove the air bag to tighten up the nut. In doing so he had to disconnect the battery which turned off my radio/cd player. I found the code (0481) but had spent to many chances finding it. My problem is I have an error message on my display. I can only change the numbers by using the wheel as featured in your video. If I press the wheel as to enter the code it will return back to error. You video shows that you used the key card without turning on the engine. Would it work if I have the engine running.as it takes over the 30+ minutes needed to reset the code. The other day I took of the battery leads for a few moments but that had no effects. Today I had the radio still out but thought if I took the wires from the radio compleatly it might reboot itself but no, I am slowly banging my head now. I use my radio as I travel over 140 miles each day and not having my music and knowing I am doing something wrong is doing my swede in. Sorry if this message is long but it had everything that I have done in it. Thank you in advance for any help given.
