The fourth piece from "Mysteries of Time", a song cycle composed by Paul Corfield Godfrey over a twenty year period originally as independent songs but now collected together with a similarity of theme.

"The Seven Woods of Coole" was originally composed as a competition entry for "Classic CD" magazine (who insisted on the use of "seven" as a theme), but the poem had been earmarked as a potential setting by Paul man7y years before.
