Welcome back and thank you for tuning into Stadium Hotdog.
This episode will focus on Leyton Orient and a selection of footballing firsts at Brisbane Road.

Brisbane Road which was originally known as Osbourne Road was home to the amateur football team Leyton Football Club between 1905-1937: the club were unrelated to Leyton Orient who moved into the ground as Clapton Orient in 1937 and have played their home games there ever since.

Clapton Orient originally played their home games at the Clapton Stadium, Millfields in Hackney (1896–1930) and across the River Lea to the Lea Bridge Stadium (1930–1937): which is located metres away from the Lea Bridge Station on Lea Bridge Road. There will be more on the old Football League grounds of London coming soon.

On 2 October 1946 the club officially changed its name, after 48 years as Clapton Orient, to Leyton Orient and the name of the ground Brisbane Road was adopted on 9 November 1946.
