You are right about the variation of heaviness in the Screamo/Skramz genre. This genre was most certainly took inspiration from screamo and the lines that separate genres are often blurred, so I can see why it is hard to place what is what(I have trouble too). I guess I was just trying to show people what "real" Screamo is. Because it is often an underrated genre and is often overlooked for flashy bands with songs filled with generic breakdowns.

I love how all you think this is what screamo is! Look up bands like Circle Takes The Square, Orchid, Raein, Pianos Become The Teeth, Touche Amore, Defeater and I Create. Who knows maybe you guys may enjoy it.

Yeah they get a bit like that. Take a look at the bands I suggested they are very different to these guys. Look up Emery's first album as well, not really heaps heavy, but definitely worth listening to.

Also for something thats not heavy, try American Football and Empire! Empire!. They are brilliant :)

Well he is right. This is not what screamo is. I stated what what screamo actually is somewhere else in the thread. Seriously. Get to know the scene better and people will respect you. You may even find awesome new music. Circle Takes The Square, Orchid, Raein, Pianos Become The Teeth, Touche Amore are all really great starting places for Screamo.
