OMG! You are absolutely amazing, made quantum mechanics look so easy! Explained in 4 minutes what lots of lecturers can't teach well in an entire year. Thanks a million! Absolutely filled in the gaps of things that were not completely clear for me! Cannot wait for the zero point energy explanation.

That was the best breakdown of the uncertainty principle I think I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait for the next installment.

So to paraphrase :
The amount of sense Rob (or me) makes is proportional to the amount of beer consumed until someone tries to understand what is meant wherein the waveform collapses and the true chaotic nature of reality is glimpsed!

Or to put in Northern parlance The Heisenberg's Beer Goggles work on your ears too!

I think I just got a Physics Lesson in a way that I can understand. Well spoken sir, Thank you!

We, as a civilization, haven't learned how to convert absolute value of energy. We have developed methods that harvest energy only on energy gradient and those methods are not the highest efficiency: Carnot, Ranken, photo voltaics, Stirling.

Wow that was such a cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next video in the zero point energy series. Robert always does such great work.

Now you're speaking my "love language" lol. Have a great day.

Heisenberg or not, opening a presentation on quantum uncertainty with “now, I have a cat…” is naughty!

not saying this is how it works, but that made me realized (even though I knew that already) we can express quantum tunneling as particle with the virtual particle without invoking wave, as wave is really just the uncertainty of information, and that information is basically just interactions at fundamental level. The cat if both alive and not alive because there is no way to measure with interactions, and thus changing the thing measured.

Then I see this I Think aboute Cats and Marathonrunners! And Catamarans... How in Earth! I get a glims of how Vaacum works! Thanks Rob!

Well explained.
A photon doesn’t actually “bounce” off an electron during a collision.
When an electron is hit by a photon of light, it absorbs the quanta of energy the photon was carrying and moves to a higher energy state. One way of thinking about this higher energy state is to imagine that the electron is now moving faster, (it has just been "hit" by a rapidly moving photon).
There are other Conjugate variable pairs apart from position and momentum - for example Energy and Time (ΔΕΔt>=h/2),
Some physicists claim you can have more than two variables coupled in this way via a Heisenberg type uncertainty principle.

you can emit for example electron that give you exact start position and measure time to this electron hit some distant object to calculate its speed, if you also measure this hit energy you can calculate momentum .

If it's Schrödinger's cat, the bird will be both eaten and uneaten until you observe it.

Enjoy the beers 🍺. Counter space. Centre of a magnetic field. The release of energy depends upon the charge, or induction/ potential. Zero point of a magnetic field = release of energy ( force and motion) magnetism. 🍺 more beers needed. 👍

So each photon has a specific frequency, or can a photon have multiple frequencies? A white light photon?

1:01 That is actually a cat scientist.

How much electricity would you be able to harvest from an aluminum small engine by using a magnetic piston?
