It’s funny isn’t it. There’s no player in history that I coveted more than Roy Keane. I’m a Tottenham season ticket holder and I spent the 90s to early 00s seeing people walk through our piss weak midfield. Keane was everything we never had. Still haven’t had, to an extent …

But maybe that’s why the best players don’t necessarily make great managers. You have to have a nerd like attention to detail, these days. You can’t simply turn up every day and work hard. It’s a different kind of application.
