It's really amazing that we all got suckered watching the first movie by having a talking snarky raccoon with a gun fetish as a major character. And then he turned out to have one of deepest and most heartfelt character story arcs in the MCU. Like I'm certain people will come out of the movie theater in tears just because of him.

I've rarely cried in a movie theater in my life, even though I watched Endgame with a smile, but I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 3 crying whenever Rocket came out. It's by far the best movie I've ever seen in my life. And what I personally felt was, in the middle of the fight scene
It reminded me of Old Boy, a movie in Korea.

Rocket is a relatable character, a grumpy old soul that we sense there's a pure heart inside. . There's just a mysterious event that make him that way.. I know people like that, they hate other people, interactions with strangers but within their circle of friends, they're loving l, caring etc.. and sometimes I see him randomly feeding stray animals in the streets

My favorite thing about Rocket's MCU characterization is how they made him an overwhelmed dad. He's such a good dad too... Look at how he was ready to die to save Groot at 6:24 it never gets old.
